1. About purchasing courses

Select the course you want and click on the “Add to cart” button. Repeat this process for every course that you need. You can find the courses categorized under the menu item “Shop” or you can use the search functionality on the top bar in order to search for a specific course. After you add the course(s) of your choice to the cart you can click on the cart icon on the top right of the screen and then click on the button called “Checkout”. Fill in your details in order to complete the checkout process. If the payment is successful you will be automatically logged in to the system and you will be able to access the course(s) from “My Account” menu.

All major credit and debit cards are accepted. In addition, you can pay using your PayPal or VIVA wallet account. Alternatively, you can use a bank transfer.

Upon successful payment, you will be automatically login and you will be able to start the course(s) you paid for.

Certified courses upon completion will allow you to immediately issue a certificate stating your name, course title, date of completion and certificate unique id. Certificate will be available in PDF format.

 

 

*Only relate to applying for Liberian certificates and serving on board Liberian vessels. Seafarers need to check with other flags if they would accept STCW training certificates or original Liberian certificates under such other countries’ laws and regulations

Seafarers that have successfully completed SQLearn STCW Basic Training e-courses can submit the SQLearn certificate(s) for issuance of their original Liberian Special Qualification Certificate. Subject to availability of all other documents required, seafarers may apply for their Liberian certification via filing agents (who act on behalf of shipowners or ship managers) or directly.

1. Documents / Information Required

  • Physical examination completed within the past year
  • Copy of national passport
  • Passport quality photograph (square format)
  • All copies of the SQLearn certificates that are required for Liberia original certificates (STCW Basic is made up of 4 parts)
  • Sea service history list
  • Additional documentation may be required depending on the position the seafarer is sailing in. Please refer to RLM-118 (available at www.liscr.com) as the guide for specific Liberian requirements for obtaining certification depending on certification sought, and requisite fees

*Seafarer’s height, weight, eye color, hair color and any distinguishing marks are required (important to supply on the medical exam)

2. Applying Through the Filing Agent

If a seafarer is using a crewing agency or other company acting as an authorized Filing Agent to submit documents of seafarers to the Liberian Registry, he/she can submit documents through such authorized Filing Agent that is responsible for manning the Liberian vessel on which the seafarer will be sailing. The Filing Agent will guide you on the set of documents required.

3. Direct Application

Seafarers may apply directly online for their seafarer documents. This can be done by visiting the following website https://seafarers.liscr.com/. In order to access the e-learning courses, you will need to have either a desktop or laptop PC running any modern operating system e.g Windows 10, macOS, Ubuntu, etc and a modern web browser e.g Chrome, Firefox or Safari. Alternatively, you can also use a tablet or smartphone running Android or iOS. The system is web-based, so no additional applications are required to be installed.

You can login to the eshop with your credentials, add the new course(s) you want to buy in the cart and follow the checkout procedure. The course(s) you bought will be available under the “My Courses” along with the previously bought ones.

The username is the email you used when you made the purchase. In order to recover the password please use this process. For any other issue please create a support ticket and we will get back to you.

The courses have an annual license, meaning that you can have access for 365 days starting from the day of successful payment.

We protect your data and comply with regulations like GDPR, for more information please read our privacy policy. Furthermore, your payment details are entered directly to the payment gateway of your selection e.g PayPal so we shall never keep any related information on our system.

After successful checkout you will be automatically logged into the system and you will be able to access the course(s) you paid for from the menu My Account (top right corner) and then selecting My Courses.

In case you need an invoice please make the relevant selection during checkout, fill in the required information and the invoice will be emailed to you upon successful payment.

You can access the courses with your PC (desktop or laptop), using any modern web browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera or Safari) as long as it is updated to the latest version. You can also access the courses on your mobile device, (iOS and Android are both supported) using a mobile web browser.

Make sure you are trying to login on the correct page https://my.maritimecourses.net/ . If you forgot your username and/or password, click on the button “Forgotten your username or password?”.
You can redeem your credentials by submitting your username (if you remember it) or your email.

First you need to login in my.maritimecourses.net where you can click on the platform’s label on the top left of your screen or on the “Dashboard” button. You will be directed to the front page, where you can find all your courses on the “Course overview” block. Just click on the course you want to attend.

To complete a course, you need to meet all the criteria stated on the “Course completion criteria” block, which is located at the right side of your course. In most courses, you need to complete all the activities included in the course that have a green checkbox on the right. An activity is considered complete, when the checkbox located at the right of each activity is checked.

When you complete all the activities of a course, the course is considered as successfully completed and the certificate is available to download as a PDF file.

The final evaluation of a course is completed when you manage to answer correctly at least 80% of the questions included. You can re-attempt the final test as many times as you want so don’t worry!

A course element is considered complete, when the checkbox located at the right of it is checked.

If the element is educational material, please consider going through it one more time, as it may include slides you didn’t watch or interactions that should be made with it ( Such as “Please click this button to see more information about…”).

If the element is a final evaluation, please make sure you submitted your attempt and you achieved the minimum score of 80%.
